Internet Marketing

Internet Marketing is a booming business. Companies from all over the world are realizing how important it is to be found on the internet. There are several area of Internet Marketing consisting of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Pay-Per-Click (Sponsor) Advertising, Banner Advertising, Pop-up Advertising, email campaigns, newsletter distribution, Online Yellow Pages, Online Directories, and several other areas.

Here at eLink Design we choose to specialize in SEO and Pay-Per-Click (Cost-Per-Click) Marketing. Why? Because we feel that these two methods of Internet Marketing are the most profitable and provide the most Return on Investment for our clients. After all, any type of marketing is about ROI. However, due to the fact that Internet Marketing is relatively new, and must compete with more traditional marketing avenues such as television, radio, and print, it is absolutely essential that the customer can justify the Internet Marketing expenditure.

One of the new points of emphasis for eLink Design is to define the direct relationship between Internet Marketing and other forms of more traditional marketing and how they can form a symbiotic relationship. The company’s website is the hub for all activity on the Internet. Therefore, if a promotion is going on in the company and they are marketing that promotion in other forms of media, then they better make sure that their website coincides with the ongoing promotion. If this does not occur, then all the traffic derived by the traditional media will end in confusion on the customer’s part if they visit the site and do not see a similar promotion. The last thing that any company wants to do is to confuse the client.

One of the most famous instances of this failure to cross promote occurred at Go Daddy. They created cleaver sexy advertisements that aired during the Super Bowl. They ran television commercial after television commercial about the sexy Go Daddy Girls and then told the audience to visit the site for more information. People went to the site and there was no mention of the Go Daddy Girls. People became very confused and Go Daddy lost a huge opportunity in the process. If a huge Internet company such as Go Daddy can make this mistake, then you can be sure that it has happened many more times. Cross platform advertising including Internet Marketing is the future. Make sure to keep up or be prepared to be left behind.
